It was so nice to find that Sacred Heart Church had a web site. My wife and I will be visiting Pittsfield November 7th thru the 9th. It was great to find a mass schedule that was similar to our own at St Patrick\\\'s in Glen Cove, N.Y. It will be nice to visit your church and attend mass.

Attend the church of the Sacred Heart was one of the best expericias of my life, and I appreciate everything you taught me to guide my steps every day. Two years I lived in Pittsfield and return to Guatemala in 1994. Today my faith remains strong in the hope that Jesus intercede for all. Special Thanks to my good friend and old host father Rev. Mr. James U. Hager, who had the patience and kindness to invite me to join the Catholic faith. God Bless you all now and forever. |

After the closing of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, your web site helped me to make up my mind to become a member of Sacred Heart Parish. So far, the folks I have met are very friendly and welcoming, and this goes a long way in helping to ease the transition from one Parish to another. God always will make something good come out of something bad |

I was there when my uncle, Fr. Henry M. Burke was installed as pastor. Later he became Monsignor & again I was there. As I remember Sacred Heart was located at 191 Elm Street, Pittsfield. As I am now 74 I treasure memories of my visits to Sacred Heart. Father Harry had a joke for everything and certainly I was always welcome by all on every visit. I remember his old cadallic parked behind the rectory & church. Finally Fr Callahan on Msgr's last days.As a Yankee fan he was always upset when he took my brother & I to Fenway Park in th "40s" & we rooted for the Yanks.In the late 40's he took 8 priests there with my brother & I & to the day he died he always complained how Tom & I rooted for the Yankees as his guests. Regards to all the assistants who were ther during my visits.
