After the closing of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, your web site helped me to make up my mind to become a member of Sacred Heart Parish. So far, the folks I have met are very friendly and welcoming, and this goes a long way in helping to ease the transition from one Parish to another. God always will make something good come out of something bad |

The web site is wonderful. I feel truly blessed to have been married in such a wonderful church, by such a caring Priest, Father Jim. I always look forward to going to church there when I visit Pittsfield. God Bless you. |

I was there when my uncle, Fr. Henry M. Burke was installed as pastor. Later he became Monsignor & again I was there. As I remember Sacred Heart was located at 191 Elm Street, Pittsfield. As I am now 74 I treasure memories of my visits to Sacred Heart. Father Harry had a joke for everything and certainly I was always welcome by all on every visit. I remember his old cadallic parked behind the rectory & church. Finally Fr Callahan on Msgr's last days.As a Yankee fan he was always upset when he took my brother & I to Fenway Park in th "40s" & we rooted for the Yanks. In the late 40's he took 8 priests there with my brother & I & to the day he died he always complained how Tom & I rooted for the Yankees as his guests. Regards to all the assistants who were ther during my visits.
